Cloud Gate - "The Bean"

The spectacular sculpture known to most local Chicagoans as the Bean is actually named Cloud Gate for it's chamber underneath where visitors can walk through looking at themselves in the seamless steel plates.  What a beautiful must see work of art where you can see the city skyline reflected in the mirror like outer shell of steel.  Designed by McDonough Associates Inc.

The Crown Fountain

Two towers built of glass block with water flowing down freely is exactly where your children want to be on a hot summer day in the city of Chicago.  Children commonly play in the center area with a giant pool of shallow water.  The towers of glass block display faces of Chicago citizens and shoot water from what appears to be there mouths inspired by old gargoyle fountains.  Designed by Jaume Plansa.
