Will the Olympic Games be hosted in CHICAGO?
The city of Chicago is currently bidding to become the honorable host of the 2016 Olympic Games. The final decision will be announced in October of 2009. We ask that you show your support for the bid by visiting the official site and expressing your support at http://www.chicago2016.org
Chicago's bid book is currently under review by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) with responses to 227 major questions for the cities intent on hosting the Games. The other potential hosts for the games have been narrowed to three international cities: Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Madrid.

- Lakefront Rowing Course
- McCormick Place
- Olympic Sports Complex at Northerly Island
- Olympic Stadium in Washington Park
- Olympic Tennis Center at Lincoln Park
- Olympic Village
- Soldier Field
- UIC Pavilion
- United Center
The Olympic Village will be located south of McCormick Place Convention Center. This positioning will allow the athletes to live within 15 minutes of their competition venue. The 37acres of lakefront development will turn this neighborhood into a beautiful multi functioning community.
If our spectacular city is chosen to host the 2016 Olympics visitors will flow into the city from all over the world to experience the athletic abilities across many sports and competitions entered into by countries around the globe. This event brings all of us together from one continent to another whether we enjoy the live version or watch from our home television.
